2月14日凌晨5时30分，湖南长沙市的天还黑着，一对对情侣已出现在长沙天心区民政局门口。他们要在这个特殊的日子完成人生的重要仪式。
早上7时，市民王先生到达了天心区民政局，他看到门口有几十对情侣排起长队。他表示，一个半小时后，领证大厅估计排了上百对新人。

天心区民政局工作人员李女士介绍，按照长沙市民政局的统一安排，各区民政局都会在情人节当天为新人送上特色礼物。
李女士告诉九派新闻，天心区民政局为新人准备了具有古典特色的婚书，大厅内贴上了节日装饰，工作人员会为新人们在装饰前拍照留念。同时，前几对办理婚姻登记的新人，还能领取一束鲜花。
每年情人节，王先生都会到天心区民政局拍摄视频。他向九派新闻回忆，去年天心区民政局为新人准备了一份心形的婚书。他认为这很有仪式感，“一份红色的婚书，给人一种古典的喜悦。”
